ABOUT AZILAL
Azilal is known for its incredible landscape which attracts more and more visitors who are passionate about nature, it is the ideal place to spend your summer in the sun with a mild and cool climate.
The town of Azilal is located in the High Atlas, at an altitude of 1,351 m in the centre of Morocco, 86 km from the town of Beni-Mellal, and 242 km from Marrakech.
Azilal has 30,000 inhabitants and enjoys a mild climate in relation to the topography of the region. Azilal is bordered by the Atlas mountain range, which separates it from the Kelâat Mgouna region where the most important mountain of the region is located: the N'goun, which rises to more than 4071 metres.
In the foreground you will see the medieval valley of Ait Bouguemaz, a beautiful tourist valley in the province of Azilal that you can visit, equipped with welcoming gites.
It is very well known worldwide thanks to its exceptional geographical location and its attractive climate, it is an excellent place to relax and change from the routine of city life in the middle of grandiose landscapes.
The Ait Boguemaz valley is often referred to in tourist brochures as "the valley of happy people".
You will also discover the Ouzud waterfalls, the natural bridge of Imini n'Ifri near the town of Demnate, the Bin el Widane lake, the Assif Ahanesal gorges and the Tamga nature reserve. The Rock of Mousfrane is a national heritage site.
